DiSTAR BUTTERFLY 2″ (45MM) DIAMOND CUTTING BLADE
The DISTAR Butterfly 45mm Diamond Blade is one of the most precise small-diameter porcelain cutting blades available for professional tile installation and fabrication. Designed for detailed work where a standard 4″ or 5″ diamond blade is simply too large, the Butterfly gives installers exceptional control when making small openings, inside cuts, detailed trimming and precision porcelain cutouts.
What separates the Butterfly from conventional small electroplated blades is its solid 0.6mm diamond cutting layer. The extremely thin cutting edge creates a narrow kerf with minimal material removal, while the blade’s high rigidity helps prevent unwanted deflection during delicate cuts.
The compact 45mm (1.77″) diameter also makes the Butterfly extremely maneuverable. It’s an excellent choice for cutting around flush plates, access panels, inspection hatches, covers, niches, fixtures and other detailed porcelain applications.

ABOUT THE DISTAR BUTTERFLY
The DISTAR Butterfly 45mm Diamond Blade is designed for extremely precise cutting of porcelain tile, porcelain stoneware, and ceramic. Its compact 45mm diameter and ultra-thin 0.6mm diamond layer give the blade excellent maneuverability while producing a very narrow, clean cut. DISTAR specifically positions the Butterfly for delicate work where edge quality and control matter more than aggressive material removal.
WHY THE BUTTERFLY IS DIFFERENT
