Description
TENAX STRONGEDGE TRANSPARENT KNIFE GRADE EPOXY
Professional Knife Grade Epoxy for Stone Edge Laminations, Repairs & Fabrication
The TENAX StrongEdge Transparent Knife Grade Epoxy is a premium two-component epoxy adhesive specifically engineered for edge laminations, miter joints, seam bonding, stone repairs, and structural fabrication. Designed for professional stone fabricators and countertop installers, this high-strength transparent epoxy delivers exceptional bonding performance on granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, porcelain, sintered stone, engineered stone, ceramic, and natural stone surfaces.
Its knife-grade consistency makes it ideal for vertical applications and edge build-ups where sag resistance and precise application are critical. The transparent formula accepts color pigments with ease, allowing fabricators to create seamless color matches for virtually any stone material while maintaining superior bond strength.
Whether you’re laminating waterfall edges, assembling mitered countertops, repairing chipped stone, or reinforcing seams, TENAX StrongEdge provides long-lasting durability, outstanding adhesion, and professional-quality results trusted by stone shops around the world.

Cure & Handling
At approximately 77°F (25°C), StrongEdge 45 has a gel time of 4–5 minutes and becomes tack-free in approximately 20 minutes.
Allow approximately 60–70 minutes before machining, polishing, cutting, or placing significant stress on the bonded assembly.
Cure times are temperature dependent. Lower temperatures will increase curing time. The minimum recommended reaction temperature is 32°F (0°C).
Application
Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, wax, and other contaminants.
Mix 100 parts adhesive with 2–3 parts hardener. Thoroughly mix until the hardener is evenly distributed throughout the adhesive.
Apply an even layer to the bonding surface, assemble the pieces, and clamp securely. Complete positioning and adjustment before the adhesive begins to gel.
Fabrication Guideline
Gel: 4–5 minutes
Tack-Free: ~20 minutes
Machine / Polish: ~60–70 minutes
Application Temperature: Minimum 32°F (0°C)
Mix Ratio: 100:2–3 adhesive to hardener
IMPORTANT: Cure speed varies with temperature, hardener percentage, adhesive quantity, joint thickness, substrate temperature, and shop conditions. Always verify adequate cure before machining, moving, or stressing bonded components.
Safety & Storage
Store in the original sealed container in a cool, dry location away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
Wear appropriate gloves and eye protection and provide adequate ventilation during use. Consult the manufacturer’s current Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for complete handling and safety requirements.
