ALPHA WET CORE BITS
The Alpha® Wet Core Drill Bit drills faucet-mounting holes in countertops and vanities. It also creates clean, rounded corners for square or rectangular sinkholes. Highly versatile, this core bit serves well in construction trades that require holes for water, gas, or electrical piping, especially when working with already installed natural stone, concrete, or ceramic tile.
You can use the Alpha® Wet Core Drill Bit on a drill press with a water swivel attachment or operate it free-hand with a wet polishing tool such as the AIR-680, AWP-158, or VSP-320. Since it requires wet use, make sure to use a tool equipped with a central water-feed or a water swivel. The convenience of a portable hand polishing tool makes the Alpha® Wet Core Drill Bit very adaptable for a variety of applications.
Available in 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1-1/4”, 1-3/8”, 1-1/2”, 2, and 2-1/2” sizes, these wet core drill bits are ideal for common faucet hole applications. The 5/8”-11 arbor matches the standard size found on most drills and polishing tools available today.
Brazed directly to the steel core, the sintered metal segments deliver long life and the aggressiveness expected from a quality core bit. When drilling free-hand, we recommend using a template and clamping a scrap piece of stone underneath the workpiece to minimize chipping on the backside.
